We supply 4 in-garage dehumidifiers suitable for single cars or collections of cars, including large double garages, on UK 240v only. All of our units are suitable for garages holding up to 4 cars.

All are suitable for the UK and are specially selected by us for use in Garages. They incorporate automatic controls that constantly check the relative humidity and temperature and adjust the airflow to prevent mildew, condensation, damp and mould. They are also suitable for domestic use inside your home or storage of other goods.

Please note we do not ship dehumidifiers outside the UK.

Amber-dry - adsorbtion dehumidifier

Superseded in our view by X-Dry (see below) with improved features such as Auto Re-Start after power failure, Continuous Drain (hose inc.), and lower cost – strongly recommended.

Our entry level product, Amber-Dry ( or the darker colour cased Ruby-Dry) offers significant advantages in the UK climate due to low temperature capability.

It starts from only £199 with next day delivery for orders placed by noon (orders placed Friday delivered Monday).

The Amber-dry is a desiccant dehumidifier which extracts moisture at a constant rate whatever the temperature. A small heating element dries out the rotor to provide continuous operation. The desiccant in the rotor DOES NOT deteriorate with time so the only maintenance needed is periodic cleaning of the intake air filter.

At 15degC or lower, the extraction efficiency is greater than an equivalent 20 litre rated refrigerant device. (The Amber-Dry maintains performance at lower temperatures, but refrigerant devices extract less as the temperature drops)

Amber-Dry has no noisy compressor so is quieter than conventional refrigerant machines. The air coming from the unit is much drier than a refrigerant device too, so ultimately one can reduce the humidity in the building quicker than would be possible using a refrigerant device. Although Amber-Dry uses slightly more electricity when compared to a refrigerant device, because the extraction efficiency is so much better, it actually spends less time running to achieve the target humidity level. Actual running costs are therefore similar to refrigerant machines. Nearly all the energy used by Amber-Dry escapes as heat so it provides a modest amount of heat too!

Absorption dehumidifiers have normally been cost-effective only for large-scale commercial operations, but the Amber-Dry enables us to bring the benefit of this technology at a price comparable with conventional devices.

Mitsubishi dehumidifiers

The Mitsubishi MJ series machines are simply the best built, quietest, most reliable and most efficient refrigerant dehumidifiers available for home and garage use. Noise levels are minimal and reliability is superb. They are ideal for garage use because they can be left unattended for long periods.

Mitsubishi MJ-E16V-E1

This model has the unique Easy Dehumidifying feature that allows you to control the whole garage or house by pressing just one button. If dehumidifier specifications and condensation problems leave you mystified then Easy Dehumidifying is for you!

MJ-E16V-E1 is supplied with one air filter and full operating instructions.

The Mitsubishi MJ-E16VX-E1 is mechanically the same as the MJ-E16V-E1 but has extra adjustability and a in-built LCD display. This shows the real time humidity level in the room as well as allowing the adjustment of the humidity cut-off point and settings for the powered louvre and timer functions. This model also has a powered louvre, child lock and washable photo-catalytic anti-bacterial filter. The filter can be washed up to 8 times and by placing it in the sun to dry after washing the filter sterilises itself. The MJ-E16VX-E1 is supplied with one new photo-catalytic anti-bacterial air filter and full operating instructions.

Adsorbtion dehumidifiers

Adsorbtion dehumidifiers work like this:

1. Moisture from the air is attracted to a desiccant carried on a rotor.
2. Moist desiccant is carried around to a drying sector, where gentle heat drives the water off and into a reservoir.
3. Dry desiccant moves around ready to take more water from the air.

This technology works well at all temperatures. It has previously only been cost-effective for large commercial applications.

Refrigerant dehumidifiers
Refrigerant dehumidifiers make use of the tendency of water to settle as dew on a cold surface.
Air is passed over a refrigerating element, where moisture condenses and is carried away.
Our range of Mitsubishi dehumidifiers incorporate a hot gas defrost system to ensure that they will work at subzero temperatures.

Cheap dehumidifiers
Cheap dehumidifiers won't keep your garage dry and your car free from rust and mildew.
This is because the refrigerating element can ice up as the ambient temperature falls. The unit becomes ineffective just at the time you need it most to keep your car dry. A good dehimidifier will last for many years, cheap ones are a false economy.
