This keeps it free from moisture, helping prevent rust, mildew and other unpleasant effects of damp. Simply, the constant breeze dries off a damp car and prevents condensation, and hence rust, forming on the vehicle. It is used by companies such as Audi who have over 100 units installed to preserve their fleet of historic vehicles. AirFlows Airchamber is the original and proven solution to indoor car storage, with a thicker exterior plastic bubble than other systems and more durable entry system. Over 10,000 units have now been sold.

With a rigid, 3D integral frame, it stands upright so you can drive your car in after a mere 45 minutes assembly. It’s totally portable and available in various sizes to fit your garage and vehicle. The Airchamber turns any garage, shed or barn into the perfect environment for storing any occasionally used items - not only cars and motorcycles, but also furniture, antiuqes and paperwork.

Rusting, dampness and mould issues are removed, preserving your car like the professional storage companies do. The heavy duty base is resistant to oil, brake fluid and other car fluids, and can be laid on a bare concrete floor.

When installed in open fronted barns, or large spaces, D-rings on the roof can be used to secure it. Note that this product cannot be used in anywhere other than a very protected outdoor space, such as a barn or car port with at least 3 sides fully enclosed, out of direct wind and not in an exposed location. The AirChamber is the original rigid storage chamber, proven over the last 20+ years and the choice of countless professional storage companies. It features thicker clear PVC and base than other systems, strong but thin metal poles and reliable fans. We carry a full range of spares should you ever need them.

Technical Features

• High quality lightweight PVC material is UV protective, anti-static, flame resistant and withstands temperatures as low as -25ºC
• High-tech static trap filtration system removes all abrasive particulate matter from the atmosphere ensuring your vehicle/items remain in pristine condition
• Once only assembly, fully portable when erected
• Easy access and removal of vehicle/items when deflated - just unzip an end flap and drive out
• Full height zipped doors on both sides to allow access to your car doors. These are 1m wide. Door position is centred at the half way point on the AirChamber. The poles are an additional 10cm wider than the zips (each), to give even more flexibility on where you park your car.
• 12v brushless fan motors, for maximum longevity and efficiency
• Base sheet is a highly durable nylon-plastic weave which is fuel, oil and brake fluid repellent. This tough construction makes it possible for minor maintenance tasks to be carried out.
• Eliminates rapid changes in air temperature, preventing condensation with a virtually moisture free environment, eliminating damp and mould
• You can run in a battery conditioner or dehumidifier too via holes pre-prepared in the Air Chamber shell. With a dehumidifier, don't run the AirChambers fans.
• Power usage - 7w, each motor is 0.26 amps - annual running costs less than £15. You can run this off a car/leisure battery as the AirChamber only uses 6 amps a day. So a week's use will need a 45aH battery, 90aH will keep it going for 2 weeks. We suggest having a 2nd battery to take away and swap, fully charged, if your garage doesn't have mains power. You can also use a Solar Panel via an Inverter to maintain/charge a car battery at your non-mains garage.

• If you have space or size issues, note that the poles can be cut down and refitted into the joints to allow for 'up and over' garage doors, or for slightly too short garages with benches etc in the way. Just trim off what you don't need, and either leave the outer part of the chamber to swell as the fans engage and build up pressure inside, or gaffer tape it down. We can supply replacement full length poles for when you move home or wish to sell your unit, or in case you cut too much off.... Many customers cut off as much as 1-2 feet off the end if the garage door interferes a lot.

  Note that the Chamber swells by about 10cm in every direction when inflated and you can use one in a tight garage, just allow an extra 20-30cm at the far end to allow the fan to work unobstructed.

Air Chamber - How it works

a - Air is drawn into Air chamber through filtered fan units
b - Recirculating air dries object(s) inside
c - Excess moisture and stale air leave via zips and vent

Controlled environment systems re-circulate clean air inside the storage cell, whilst filtering out airborne impurities like dust. In these conditions, even damp objects are dried – the breeze created by the air currents aids evaporation, just like on a washing line. It’s like hanging your car out to dry.

Evaporated moisture within the Airchamber is then allowed to escape with the airflow, as it gradually seeps from the vent and closed zips. Replenished by fresh, filtered air from the fans, the environment will therefore always remain fresh, as well as condensation-free as rapid changes in temperature are prevented.

With a virtually moisture-free atmosphere, rust and mould cannot develop; the reason we don’t say totally moisture-free is because even ‘dry’ air contains a certain, natural amount of water vapour. This helps prevent natural materials like wood and leather from losing their qualities.

Airchamber ensures that the process described above is as efficient and effective as possible. Powerful electric fans circulate up to 50,000 litres of air per hour, enough to dry a rain soaked car, with the filters being electrostatic to trap even the smallest particles.

Despite this impressive performance, running costs typically work out at less than £10 per year!

Airflow Battery Conditioner

We now offer the Airflow 12v fully automatic battery conditioner to maintain a healthy battery for your vehicle stored in its AirChamber. Well priced and simple to operate, it will prevent a flat battery for any car, motorbike, boat, light aircraft and even self-start lawn mower that is used irregularly. Simply connect your AirFlow battery conditioner to the battery terminals, plug into a standard mains supply and leave it. The Airflow Battery Conditioner to turn itself on and off as your battery needs it to maintain a full charge!

The UK 3 pin or Continental 2 pin plug version will be supplied dependent upon your delivery address. Please inform us if this is not correct.
